Have you seen the all the colors of the rainbow? When do we see a rainbow in the sky? What does it tell us about the weather? Bright pretty colors can cheer us up, when we are feeling unhappy. The class in this story used rainbow colors and dress-up costumes to have fun.

Patterns are designs that show the same thing over and over. When shapes or colors are repeated, we see a pattern. Some patterns are made by people, and some can be seen in the world around us. Some patterns are made with colors and lines. Other patterns are made with words or numbers or sounds. What patterns can you see and hear?

Paper chains can be made two different ways. The easy way is to join strips of paper made into circles like rings. Another way is to fold strips of paper, then draw a picture. You must make sure your picture touches the sides of the folded paper. Then you cut around the picture without cutting the part that touches the folds. When you open it up, the sides are joined into a chain.

Do you like delicious food? Yum! What is your favorite food? Do you know where our food comes from?

Have you been flying in a plane? Was it fun to go flying? Do you know, lots of things that can fly?

These animals are all running away. The big bad tiger is chasing them. They have come to a river with no bridge. How will they cross over the river?

When a big ship crashed onto sharp rocks, it was stuck! Black oil came out of the ship and got onto the seabirds and the beach. The seabirds could not swim with oil on their feathers. Who could save them?"

Would you like to make a salad? Salads are made from fresh vegetables. Yum! Have you ever made a salad before? What would you put in it to make it tasty?

Have you been flying? Paulo always loved flying. When he was young, he watched things that could fly, and he liked to make things fly. When he learned to be a pilot, he always wanted to go higher and higher.

What can you do with your legs? Which animals have two legs like us? Do you know some animals with four legs? Who else has four legs? Are there some animals with six legs?
