Description
"The Forgotten settlers of Kansas series is a reproduction of the applications and pedigree charts that have been submitted for certificates offered by the Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies. These certificates are of three types-- Territorial, Pioneer, and Early Settler. A Territorial certificate is issued for those ancestors who were in Kansas prior to 29 January 1861, and for those in Kansas between 30 January 1861 and 31 December 1880 a Pioneer certificate is issued. An Early Settler certificate honors those individuals who were in Kansas between 1 January 1881 and 31 December 1900"--pref.
