Retired Lieutenant Helen Kidder is LAPD's first female homicide detective. Sergeant Jen Grasso is the first and only female to work in LAPD SWAT. Alma Burke is a first generation Latina sergeant who found love while working VICE. Breaking and Entering profiles these three groundbreaking women as the change the culture of law enforcement in Los Angeles, while also pursuing their dreams.
